overheard in the town medical center
where i wait for juniper in her eye appointment
while the snow swirls and swirls down outside:
even the kids are tired of school cancelling

for holding all the sheet music
for the impossible songs taught at an impossible pace
and tucked inside: an array of glitter glue
and sparklepaper
