but self-aware

second day in a row waking
with a serious hunger for
freshsqueezed orange juice
not mediocre orange juice
but juice from the oranges at the sweet tree stand
at the far end of the hillcrest farmers market
where the woman whose name i can’t remember
cuts me 2 for 1 deals
